First settled by Europeans in the early 1820’s, Kiama has a long and proud history of agriculture.  From the original cedar cutters to a thriving dairy industry including Australia’s first Butter Factory, Kiama has its roots planted firmly in the soil.  Now a new generation of farmers is continuing a tradition of adapting to changing times and together with their counterparts in surrounding regions have embarked on developing a burgeoning viticultural industry.  The fruits of their labour have already produced many world-class wines.

Kiama provides an ideal base for touring the Shoalhaven Coast and Southern Highlands wine regions.  Come experience the hospitality, relax, explore a little and taste some of the fine food and award winning wines produced in the area.
